Notes
- Probate Records of Francis Dyson of Inkberrow - Died intestate in 1728
Francis of Inkberrow, Yeoman, died intestate and his daughter Joan Dyson acted as his administrator. The accompanying form of Obligation and Condition was a normal printed form with appropriate gaps to be filled by a third party (surrogate). The Administrator signed the completed form.
The following is a short translation of the form and a translation of the Inventory of Francis's goods and chattels is attached as a separate sheet.
The first part, mainly in Latin is an undertaking by Joan Dyson of Feckenham Wor, and Samuel Nicholls, a carpenter, and Marianne Hill of Feckenham Wor to administer Francis's estate, and to sign the form of undertaking.
The second part (Condition of the above Obligation) states that the above bounden Joan Dyson, the natural and lawful daughter and administrator of all and singular the goods chattels and credits of Francis Dyson, late of Inkberrow, do make a true and proper inventory of all and singular the goods chattels and credits of the said deceased, which have, or shall come to the hands of the said Joan Dyson or into the hands and possession of person or persons for her, and the same so made, do exhibit, or cause to be exhibited into the Registry of the Consistory Court of Worcester at or before the last day of April next etc.
If the said Joan Dyson above being thereunto required, do render and deliver and said approbation of such testament being first had and made in the said Court, at a date too late, then this Obligation to be void and of no effect.
