Having lived at 4 Cleveland Road Brighton the family then moved to 42 Queens Park Road Brighton. and later moved to St Hilda, Old Shoreham Road Hove. Whilst living at Hove Edith died on 25 April 1928 aged 52 years.
Ronald then stated that William remarried and moved to Wayside, Rudgwick, Nr. Horsham West Sussex, before finally moving to Ariethusa, Alkham, Nr Dover. Kent. It was as the result of this ‘marriage’ that Ronald left home. Searches of all records have failed to locate this marriage and neither has a search of the Voters Lists for these addresses has identified his second ‘wife’. I have also traced Williams will which was written just prior to his death and no mention is made of his ‘wife’. William died of a heart attack on 24th September 1956 aged 85 years.
