    In the name of God, the 16th day of August in the year of our Lord 1597, I George Dyson of Shernock in the Parish of Feckenham Wor within the Diocese of Worcester, single man, being firm in body yet of perfect remembrance, doth make this my last will and testament in manner and form following;

    Firstly I commit my soul to the merciful hands of the Almighty, you my maker and redeemer, and my body to be buried in the Parish Churchyard at Inkberrow. I give and bequeath unto my Goddaughter, Alice Dyson of Astwood, 40/-. I give and bequeath unto my brother, Henry Dyson's daughter, of Hanbury one spoon, Ann Dyson 20/-. I give and bequeath unto my sister Elizabeth's child - Henry Matthews 20/-. I give and bequeath unto my brother William Dyson's 2 boys, Henry and Robert, 20/- a piece. I give and bequeath unto my brother William Dyson's daughter, Ann Dyson 10/-. I give and bequeath unto my mother Anne Moye, 20/-. I give and bequeath unto my father in law, Henry Moye, my best hat and my best doublet. I give and bequeath to my brother William Dyson's son, Henry Dyson, my best breeches. My will is that the 20/- which I gave unto my brother Henry Dyson's daughter, Anne Dyson, shall rest in my brother William Dyson's hand to be set forth unto her use, and to be paid unto the said Anne Dyson when she shall attain the age of 21 years, if she shall so long live, if not to remain unto her 2 sisters Fortune and Denyer, when they shall come of the same years. Likewise, my will is that 20/- I give unto Henry Matthews shall be set forth by my brother, William Dyson, unto the use of the said Henry, and to be paid him when he shall accomplish the age of 21 years, if he shall so long live, if not to remain unto the hand of his mother if she hath charge now, if not, to remain unto herself. And the rest of all my goods and chattels unbequeathed, I give unto my brother, William Dyson of Astwood, whom I do make my full and whole Executor of this my last will and testament.
