  • Will of Thomas Dyson of Inkberrow 21st January 1542/43

    In the name of God Amen, AD. 1542, the 21st day of January, I Thomas Dyson, of the Parish of Inkberrow, of perfect mind and rememberance, order and make my testament and last will in the manner following;  First I give and bequeath my soul to Almighty God, to his blessed Mother, Saint Mary and to all Saints, my body to be buried in the Churchyard of St Peter of Inkberrow beforesaid.

    Item;I bequeath to the Church Altar in my Parish Church four shillings.

    Item;I will that Elizabeth, my wife, and Thomas, my son, shall enjoy my whole team jointly together, to wit, their lands to their mutual profit, and if any of them both be deceased, to sell or to change any of this, I will that whoever of them, at any time, so doth sell or change anything, to put another in his Room. All the residue of my other goods, my debts paid,, my funeral dues, I give and bequeath to Elizabeth, my wife, whom I do order and make my true and lawful executrix, to dispose of them to the health of my soul, this being written of by John Anston, clerk, John Sherman appraiser.
